Trip to Nepal for Himalayan tracking: 25. leaving Nepal_Kathmandu, Nepal
커피숍에서 커피마시며 앞에 올렸던 글 작성하고 업로드 하려는데 비가 내리기 시작한다.
그닥 많이 내리는 건 아니어서 가게 처마 밑으로 슬슬 걸어가는데
그 잠깐 사이에도 많이 오다가 그쳤다가 조금 오기를 반복한다.
타멜거리의 삼거리에 도착해서 한 블록 그 이상 가지 않았던 오른편으로 무작정 걸었다.
선거날이라 도로에는 자동차나 오토바이가 거의 없고
간혹 다니는 자동차에는 앞유리에 통행 허가증이 붙어있다.
각 도로의 끝에는 경찰 혹은 군인이 지키고 서 있고 허가증 없이 운행하는 오토바이를 주로 잡는다.
분명 민주주의를 위해 선거를 하는 것일텐데
전국의 모든 국민들에게 강압적으로 차량 뿐 아니라 대중교통까지 통제를 시키는 민주주의라니 참 아이러니한 현상이다.
I’m drinking coffee at a coffee shop and trying to write and upload what I posted earlier, but it starts to rain.
It doesn’t rain that much, so I’m slowly walking under the eaves of the store,
It comes a lot in a short period of time, stops, and comes a little bit.
Arriving at the three-way intersection of Tamel Street, I walked recklessly to the right, which I did not go more than a block.
It’s election day, so there are few cars or motorcycles on the road,
Occasional cars have a pass on the windshield.
At the end of each road, police or soldiers stand guard and usually catch motorcycles that run without a permit.
It’s definitely an election for democracy,
It is ironic that democracy is forced to control not only vehicles but also public transportation to all citizens across the country.
사실 선거날 대중교통까지도 통제한다는 이야기를 미리 들어 공항까지 걸어갈 생각도하고 있었는데 (약 한시간 반)
다행히 저녁 일곱시부터는 통제가 풀린다고 했고, 도로에는 여행객을 위한 공항 셔틀버스는 운행하고 있었다.
여튼 길을 따라 쭉 걷다보니 궁전이었던 곳을 박물관으로 운영하고 있는 곳에 도착했는데
근처 사원에 가려고 했더니 그 박물관 안에 사원이 있었고 입장료가..
후.. 외국인한테 왜 그러는거야 너희.
In fact, I was thinking of walking to the airport because I heard that public transportation would be controlled on election day. (About an hour and a half)
Fortunately, the control was lifted from 7 p.m., and airport shuttle buses for travelers were running on the road.
Anyway, as I walked along the road, I arrived at the place where the palace was operated as a museum,
I was going to go to a nearby temple, but there was a temple in the museum, and the entrance fee was..

입장을 포기하고 타멜로 돌아와 떠나기 전까지 맥주나 마시며 시간을 보내려했고
아직 몇 군데 열지 않아 열린 곳엔 사람이 바글바글하길래 들어갔더니
좀 비싼 레스토랑이라 맥주 가격이 다른 곳보다 1.5배는 비싼데 텍스도 23%나 붙어서
여기선 못 마시겠어서 포기하고 나왔다.
그리고 점심때 밥 먹은 작은별(SmallStar)로 가서 당당히 맥주를 주문했는데
선거날이라 낮에 술 판매가 금지 되어 있단다.
다섯시가 넘어야 술을 팔 수 있다는데..
술 마시러 간 나로써는 어쩔 수 없이 밖으로 나왔다.
I gave up admission to the museum and went back to Tamel to spend some time drinking beer before leaving.
There were only a few open places, so I went in because people were crowded in the open place,
It’s a little expensive restaurant, so beer is 1.5 times more expensive than other places, and Tex is 23%,
I gave up because I couldn’t drink here.
And I went to Small Star where I ate lunch and proudly ordered beer,
Alcohol sales are prohibited during the day because it’s election day.
They say they can sell alcohol after five..
I had to go out for a drink.
그리고 향한 곳은 3일간 머물었던 호텔의 루프탑.
그 곳으로 오르기 전 바로 앞에 있는 슈퍼에서 맥주를 사서 루프탑으로 올라가
당당하게 ‘여기서 맥주 마셔도 돼!!?’하고 물으니 마시란다 ㅋ…ㅋ
테이블에 앉아 맥주를 마시며 시간을 보내고.
And I headed to the rooftop of the hotel where I stayed for three days.
Before going up there, I bought a beer at the supermarket right in front of me and went up to the rooftop,
When I asked proudly, “Can I drink beer here!!?” he said to drink it. (Laughing)
Spent time sitting at a table drinking beer.
이제 슬슬 떠나야 하는 시간에 맡겨둔 배낭을 찾아 밖으로 나갔다.
배웅해준다며 따라 나선 분에게 사진을 한 장 부탁드리고, (참 해맑죠?)
낮에 공항행 셔틀버스를 보았던 곳으로 갔는데 이제 통행금지가 풀려서일까
셔틀버스는 보이지 않고 낮에는 어디 있었는지 궁금한 택시가 보인다.
한 택시를 잡아 공항까지 얼마냐 물으니 1000루피를 부르는데
공항에서 타멜까지 정가가 700루피라는걸 알고 있는 내가 비싸다고 하니 700루피를 바로 부른다.
너 잘걸렸다 하며 600루피를 연거푸 외치니 타라는 택시기사.
배웅나온 그에게 한국에서 각자의 짝과 함께 만나자며 인사를 나누고는 공항으로 출발.
Now I went outside to find my backpack that I had left when I had to slowly leave.

I went to the place where I saw the shuttle bus to the airport during the day, but maybe because the curfew was lifted,
I can’t see the shuttle bus, but I can see a taxi wondering where it was during the day.
I took a taxi and asked how much it was to the airport, and he said 1,000 rupees,
I know the list price from the airport to Tamel is 700 rupees, so he calls 700 rupees right away because I say it’s expensive.
The driver who was about to rip me off was disgusted and I told him to go for 600 rupees, so the taxi driver told me to get in.
After seeing him off, he said goodbye to his partner in Korea and left for the airport.
생각보다 오랜 시간이 걸려 도착한 공항은 걸어 왔으면 큰일 날 뻔했다는 생각이 들었다.
기사가 내려준 쪽의 게이트로 들어가려고 하니 여긴 A1이니 나한테 A2로 가라고 해서 옆으로 돌아 A2로 들어왔다.
들어오자마자 특이하게도 전체 수화물을 검사하고 통과한 수화물에 스티커를 하나 붙여준다.
그리고 항공사에 가서 티켓팅을 하고, 수화물 말고 기내에 들고 들어가는 가방에도
수화물 티켓을 하나씩 붙여야 한다며 붙여준다.
모든 티켓팅을 끝내고 은행에 들러 남은 네팔 루피를 달러로 바꾸고
한 층 올라가 출국신청서를 작성하고는 출국 심사를 받는다.
비자를 엄청 꼼꼼히 보길래 뭔가 문제 있나 싶었는데 ‘인도에서 육로로 넘어왔어?’ 하고 묻고는 싱겁게 끝났다.

When I tried to enter the gate where the driver dropped me off, the airport staff told me to go to A2 because this is A1, so I turned sideways and came into A2.
As soon as they come in, they examine the entire luggage and attach a sticker to the baggage that has passed.
And I went to the airline to buy tickets. Not just luggage, but bags that I carry in the plane
They say that they need to attach a baggage ticket one by one.
After finishing all the ticketing, I stopped by the bank and changed the remaining Nepalese rupees into dollars,
I go up one floor and fill out the departure application form and get a departure screening.
The airport employee looked at my visa so carefully that I thought there was something wrong, but he asked me, “Did you cross overland from India?” and it ended blandly.
면세구역으로 나오면 면세점이라고 하기도 애매한 몇 군데 있고
음식점이 더 많은 지역에서 탑승동으로 가기 전 기내에 가지고 들어가는 가방들 검사를 한 번 더 한다.
이중으로 검사하니 수화물과 기내용을 잘 나누어 맡겨야 한다.
그리고 내 비행기 탑승동 3번 게이트 앞에 도착_!
If you come out of the duty-free zone, there are some places that are ambiguous to call duty-free,
In areas with more restaurants, carry out another bag inspection before going to the boarding building.

카트만두에서 쿠알라룸푸르로 가서 4시간30분 가량 대기하다가 미얀마 양곤으로 가는 일정이다.
내일이면 나는 미얀마에 있겠군-!
It is a schedule from Kathmandu to Kuala Lumpur, waiting for about 4 hours and 30 minutes, and then going to Yangon, Myanmar.
Tomorrow I will be in Myanmar-!
